Using inspired editing techniques and sceneography, it's clear this all comes from the minds of Jarvis and co, a band who simply refuse to conform to normal stereotypes, instead making up their own rules as they go along. It is a small village somewhere in Quebec with only 215 inhabitants. When young Simon Dubé dies in a car accident, the villagers’ tranquil and regulated existence is thrown out of step. People are decidedly reluctant to talk about the accident. Time seems to lose all meaning. Snowy, frosty winter days stretch out into infinity. Mysterious figures emerge from the fog and commit strange acts. But what seems strange is sometimes more familiar than one might suspect.

The poet Dylan Thomas is famous the world over. But often it's for tales of his tempestuous life rather than for what he wrote. Now Welsh poet Owen Sheers gets back to what started all the fuss: the words on the page. Homing in on Thomas' major poems, Sheers leads viewers through the story of what inspired them, how they were written, and what exactly they mean. He visits the places where they were forged: from suburban Swansea to war-torn London, from the rural splendour of west Wales to the heady whirl of New York City. With a poet's ear for language, he analyses worksheets, unpacks lines and asks just how good these poems really are.
